4. How we use personal information
We process personal information for purposes including:
- Responding to inquiries and managing reservations, check-in, stay support, and check-out
- Operating our property management portal and providing owner reporting, maintenance coordination, and payouts
- Verifying identity, preventing fraud, protecting properties, and enforcing house rules or contracts
- Sending booking confirmations, operational notices, and—where permitted—marketing communications
- Improving our website, portal, guest experience, and internal workflows
- Measuring advertising and messaging performance on Meta and other platforms
- Complying with legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory obligations
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims
We do not sell personal information. We do not use Meta Platform Data in ways that conflict with Meta's Platform Terms or applicable platform policies.
5. How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers — hosting, IT, CRM, messaging inboxes, analytics, customer support, cleaning, maintenance, and professional advisors, under contractual confidentiality and use limits
- Booking and payment partners — platforms and processors needed to complete reservations and payments

6. Legal bases and Canadian privacy standards
As a Canadian organization, we handle personal information in accordance with applicable federal and provincial privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any substantially similar provincial laws that apply. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Where laws outside Canada apply to you (for example GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws), we will honour applicable rights as described in Section 9.
7. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
Our website and marketing pages may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, understand traffic, and measure campaigns—including Meta Pixel / Conversions API and comparable tools from other advertising platforms. These technologies may collect device and usage information and associate it with hashed identifiers where configured.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, platform ad-preference tools. Blocking some cookies may limit site features.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including guest and owner relationship management, security, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal retention requirements. Messaging records may be kept for customer service quality, operational continuity, and compliance. When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal holds.
If you request deletion of Meta Platform Data or remove our app's access, we delete that Platform Data promptly and in any event within 90 days, unless applicable law requires us to retain it or it has been aggregated or de-identified so it cannot reasonably be associated with you.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request deletion of your personal information (see Section 10)
- Withdraw consent for optional processing such as marketing emails
- Opt out of certain targeted advertising cookies or platform settings
To exercise these rights, contact info@lerevestays.com with enough detail for us to verify your request. We may need to retain certain records (for example invoices or incident reports) where the law requires.
10. How to request deletion of your data
All users—including guests, property owners, portal users, and people who message us on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, or other channels—may request deletion of their personal data.
- Email info@lerevestays.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
- Include your full name, the email/phone/username used with us, the relevant property or booking if applicable, and the platforms involved (for example website account, WhatsApp number, Instagram handle, or Facebook Page messages).
- We will verify the request, confirm receipt, and delete or de-identify personal data we control, except where retention is required by law, needed to complete a transaction, or necessary to resolve disputes and protect safety or property.
Deleting data we hold does not automatically delete data stored independently by Meta, booking platforms, or payment processors. You may also use those companies' tools to manage or delete data they control, or to remove our business's access to your platform account where applicable.
11. Children
Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction) without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. International transfers and security
Personal information may be stored or processed in Canada and in other countries where our service providers or platform partners operate, including the United States. Those jurisdictions may have different privacy laws. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
13. Third-party links and platforms
Our website and messages may link to third-party sites, apps, or platform features we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
